xeroradiography /-rā′dē·og′rəfē/ [Gk, xeros + L, radiare, to emit rays; Gk, graphein, to record] , (Obsolete) a diagnostic x-ray technique in which images were produced electrically rather than chemically. The latent image was made visible with a powder toner similar to that used in a copying machine. The powder image was transferred and heat-fused to a sheet of paper. Also called xerography.
