Whipple procedure

Whipple procedure /hwip′əl/ [Allen O. Whipple, American surgeon, 1881–1963] , radical pancreaticoduodenectomy with removal of the distal third of the stomach, the entire duodenum, and the head of the pancreas, a portion of the jejunum, and the lower half of the common bile duct, with gastrojejunostomy, choledochojejunostomy, and pancreaticojejunostomy.
