vinorelbine tartrate, an anticancer mitotic inhibitor. ▪ INDICATIONS: It is prescribed in the treatment of non–small cell lung cancer. ▪ CONTRAINDICATIONS: It should not be given to patients with low blood counts or those who may have an allergy or sensitivity to vinorelbine. It should be used with caution in patients with comprised bone marrow; bronchospasm; or kidney, liver, or lung disease. ▪ ADVERSE EFFECTS: The side effects most often reported include granulocytopenia, leukopenia, or anemia.
