vestibuloplasty /vestib″yəlōplas′tē/ [L, vestibulum, courtyard; Gk, plassein, to shape] , plastic surgery of the oral vestibule, particularly modification of the gingival and mucosal tissues to create a deeper or better-shaped vestibule, usually to aid in the creation of a supporting area.
