Velpeau’s bandage /velpōz″/ [Alfred A.L.M. Velpeau, French surgeon, 1795–1867] , a roller bandage that immobilizes the elbow and shoulder by holding the brachium against the side and the flexed forearm on the chest. The palm of the hand rests on the clavicle of the opposite side.
