ureterosigmoidostomy /-sig′moidos″təmē/ [Gk, oureter + sigma, S-shaped, eidos, form, stoma, mouth] , a surgical procedure in which a ureter is implanted in the sigmoid flexure of the intestinal tract. Also called ureterosigmoid anastomosis.
