unification model /-kā′shən/ [L, unus + ficare, to make whole, atus, process, modulus, small measure] , (in academic nursing) an administrative model in which the faculty of the school of nursing hold joint appointments to the school and the hospital, teaching nursing students and providing clinical leadership in nursing service in the hospital.
