Torulopsis glabrata, a species of fungus that is part of the normal flora of the human mouth, gut, and urinary tract but that in weak or immunocompromised patients may cause opportunistic infections such as meningitis, pneumonia, cystitis, and fungemia. Formerly called Candida glabrata.
