thoracolumbosacral orthosis (TLSO) /thôr′əkōlum′bō sā′krəl/ [Gk, thorax, chest; L, lumbus, loin + sacrum, sacred] , a spinal orthosis that runs from the thoracic spine caudal to the lumbosacral region and thus limits movement of the thoracic and lumbar spine.
