Sweet localization method

Sweet localization method, a radiographic technique for locating a foreign body in the eye by making two radiographic films of the eye while the patient’s head is immobilized. A small metal ball and a cone are placed at precise distances from the center of the cornea as register marks while lateral and perpendicular radiographic views of the eye are made. A three-dimensional view of the eye is constructed from the two films, and, guided by the positions of the ball and cone, the location of the foreign body in the eye is plotted from the intersection of lines through the ball and cone.
