pyrrole (C4H4NH)

pyrrole (C₄H₄NH) /pirōl″, pir″ōl/ [Gk, pyrrhos, red] , a five-membered heterocyclic aromatic substance occurring naturally in many compounds in the body. Pyrrole rings surround the Fe²⁺ ion in the hemoglobin molecule.
