prostatic utricle

prostatic utricle, the part of the urethra in men that forms a cul-de-sac about 6 mm long behind the middle lobe of the prostate. It is composed of fibrous tissue, muscular fibers, and mucous membrane. Numerous small glands open on its inner surface. It is homologous with the uterus in women. Also called uterus masculinus.
