paleocerebellum

paleocerebellum /pal′ē·ōser′əbel″əm/ , the phylogenetically oldest part of the cerebellum, including the vermis, which connects the cerebellar hemispheres, and the flocculus, or lobule, on the posterior lobe. Also called spinocerebellum.
