orthopsychiatry

orthopsychiatry /-sīkī″ətrē/ [Gk, orthos + psyche, mind, iatreia, treatment] , the branch of psychiatry that specializes in correcting incipient and borderline mental and behavioral disorders, especially in children, and in developing preventive techniques to promote mental health and emotional growth and development.
