National Library of Medicine (NLM)

National Library of Medicine (NLM), a library and information resource center that is part of the National Institutes of Health. It collects, organizes, and makes available biomedical science information to investigators, educators, and practitioners and carries out programs designed to strengthen medical library services in the United States. It offers a free search engine, PubMed, and its electronic databases include MEDLINE and MEDLINEplus.
