musculocutaneous nerve

musculocutaneous nerve /mus′kyəlōkyo̅o̅tā″nē·əs/ [L, musculus + cutis, skin, osus, having] , one of the terminal branches of the brachial plexus. It is formed on each side by division of the lateral cord of the plexus into two branches. Various branches and filaments supply different structures, such as the biceps, the brachialis, the humerus, and the skin of the forearm. Compare median nerve, radial nerve, ulnar nerve.
