lymphomatoid granulomatosis

lymphomatoid granulomatosis /limfō″mətoid/ , a condition in which lymphocytes and plasma cells infiltrate the blood vessels, producing an angiocentric lesion. It most often affects the lungs, skin, and central nervous system. It is believed to be induced by a combination of Epstein-Barr virus infection, immunosuppressive drugs, and infections such as HIV and/or autoimmune diseases. See also Wegener’s granulomatosis.
