Joffroy’s reflex /zhôfrô·äz″, jof″roiz/ [Alexis Joffroy, French physician, 1844–1908] , a reflex contraction of the gluteus muscles produced when firm pressure is applied to the buttocks of patients with spastic paralysis of the lower limbs.
