INDICATIONS: It is prescribed for short-term dilation of the pupil for ophthalmoscopy and as a diagnostic aid in Horner’s syndrome. CONTRAINDICATIONS: Narrow-angle glaucoma or known hypersensitivity to this drug prohibits its use. ADVERSE EFFECTS: Among the more serious adverse effects are increased intraocular pressure and photophobia.
