hyalohyphomycosis

hyalohyphomycosis /hi″älohi″fomiko′sis/ , a hyphomycosis caused by mycelial fungi with colorless walls, most of which are opportunistic. It usually occurs as a result of steroid therapy, indwelling catheters, immunosuppressive drugs, or cytotoxins.
