Hospital Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee (HICPAC)

Hospital Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee (HICPAC), a committee established in 1991 by the U.S. government with members appointed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. It provides advice and guidance related to isolation practices and serves as an advisory committee to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for updating guidelines and policy statements related to control of nosocomial infection.
