heel-shin test

heel-shin test [AS, hela + scinu, shin; L, testum, crucible] , a cerebellar test for assessing coordination of movements of the extremities. In the test, the patient, lying supine, is asked to pass the heel of one leg slowly down the shin of the other leg from the knee to the ankle.
