Forbes-Albright syndrome

Forbes-Albright syndrome /fôrbs-ôl″brīt/ [Anne P. Forbes, American physician, 1911–1992; Fuller Albright, American physician, 1900–1969] , an endocrine disease characterized by amenorrhea, prolactinemia, and galactorrhea, caused by an adenoma of the anterior pituitary. Diagnosis is made by radiographic examination of the anterior pituitary and a blood test for prolactin. Surgical resection of the adenoma is usually indicated. See also galactorrhea, pituitary gland.
