fasciculus /fəsik″yələs/ [L, little bundle] , a small bundle of muscle, tendon, or nerve fibers wrapped by a layer of connective tissue called the perimysium (muscle) or perineurium (nerve fiber). The arrangement of fasciculi in a muscle is correlated with the power of the muscle and its range of motion.
