esotropia /es′ətrō″pē·ə/ [Gk, eso + tropos, turning] , a medial deviation of one eye relative to the other fixating eye such that fusion is not maintained. Also called convergent squint, convergent strabismus, internal strabismus. Compare esophoria, exotropia. See also strabismus.esotropic, adj.
