Enterobacteriaceae

Enterobacteriaceae /en′tirōbaktir′ē·ā″si·ē/ [Gk, enteron + bakterion, small staff] , a family of aerobic and anaerobic gram-negative bacteria that includes both normal and pathogenic enteric microorganisms. Among the significant genera of the family are Escherichia, Klebsiella, Proteus, and Salmonella.
