cycloplegia

cycloplegia /sī′kləplē″jə/ [Gk, kyklos + plege, stroke] , paralysis of accommodation, as induced by certain ophthalmic drugs to allow examination of the eye. It causes pupillary dilation and relaxation of accommodation. See also cycloplegic.
