cyclopia

cyclopia /sīklō″pē·ə/ [Gk, Cyclops, mythic one-eyed giant] , a developmental anomaly characterized by fusion of the orbits into a single cavity containing one eye. The condition is usually combined with various other head and facial defects. Also called cyclocephaly, synophthalmia.
