COX-2 inhibitors, cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitors

COX-2 inhibitors, cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitors, a group of nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that act by inhibiting cyclooxygenase-2 activity and have fewer GI side effects than other NSAIDs. One of the members of this group is celecoxib.
