ceroid

ceroid /sir″oid/ [L, cera, wax; Gk, eidos, form] , a golden, waxy pigment appearing in the cirrhotic livers of some individuals, in the GI tract, in the nervous system, and in the muscles. It is an insoluble, acid-fast, sudanophilic pigment.
