CD8 cell, CD8+ cell

CD8 cell, CD8+ cell, a major classification of T lymphocytes, referring to those that carry the CD8 antigen; the major subtypes are the cytotoxic T lymphocytes and the suppressor cells. See also T lymphocyte, cytoxic T lymphocytes.
