Category B Diseases/Agents

Category B Diseases/Agents, a designation by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for bioterrorism agents that includes dangerous illnesses, germs, and/or bacteria that are moderately easy to disseminate, result in moderate morbidity rates and low mortality rates, and require specific enhancements of the diagnostic capacity and enhanced disease surveillance.
