Caliciviridae /kalis′ivir″idē/ , a family of plus-stranded ribonucleic acid viruses that have a nonenveloped virion 35 to 40 nm in diameter. It is associated with episodes of gastroenteritis and upper respiratory infection in humans and animals, including exanthema in swine.
