brachioradialis reflex [Gk, brachion + L, radial, reflectare, to bend backward] , a deep tendon reflex elicited by striking the lateral surface of the forearm proximal to the distal head of the radius, characterized by normal slight elbow flexion and forearm supination. It is accentuated by disease of the pyramidal tract above the level of the fifth cervical vertebra. See also deep tendon reflex.
