Bowman’s capsule

Bowman’s capsule /bō″manz/ [William Bowman, English anatomist, 1816–1892] , the cup-shaped end of a renal tubule or nephron enclosing a glomerulus. With the glomerulus, it is the site of filtration in the kidney. Also called glomerular capsule.
