balanitis circumscripta plasmacellularis, a benign lesion involving the inner surface of the prepuce and glans associated with shiny, moist lesions. The condition usually manifests in middle-aged or elderly uncircumcised males. The etiology is unknown, but is thought to be due to local infections, poor hygiene, heat, friction, or constant rubbing. Also called Zoon balanitis.
