ambrisentan, an antihypertensive. ▪ INDICATIONS: This drug is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension, alone or in combination with other antihypertensives. ▪ CONTRAINDICATIONS: Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and known hypersensitivity to this drug prohibits its use. ▪ ADVERSE EFFECTS: Adverse effects of this drug include headache, fever, flushing, orthostatic hypotension, hypotension, peripheral edema, sinusitis, rhinitis, abdominal pain, constipation, anemia, rash, pharyngitis, and dyspnea.
