Adie’s pupil

Adie’s pupil /ā″dēz/ [William J. Adie, English physician, 1886–1935] , an abnormal condition of the eyes marked by one pupil that reacts much more slowly to light changes or to accommodation or convergence than the pupil of the other eye. It is considered a pupillary muscle problem. There is no specific treatment. Also called tonic pupil.
