Colles’ fascia

Colles’ fascia /kol″ēz/ [Abraham Colles, Irish surgeon, 1773–1843; L, band] , the deep inner layer of the subcutaneous, superficial fascia of the perineum, constituting a distinctive structure in the urogenital region of the body. It is a strong, smooth sheet of tissue containing elastic fibers that give it a characteristic yellow tint.
