chronic endoarteritis [Gk, chronos, time, endon, within, arteria, airpipe, itis, inflammation] , persistent inflammation of the tunica intima of an arterial wall. It may be accompanied by fatty degeneration of arterial tissue and calcium deposits. Also called endarteritis deformans.
