Bence Jones protein

Bence Jones protein /bens/ [Henry Bence Jones, English physician, 1814–1873] , a protein found almost exclusively in the urine of patients with multiple myeloma. The protein constitutes the light chain component of myeloma globulin; it coagulates at temperatures of 45° to 55° C and redissolves completely or partially on boiling.
