zygoma /zīgō″mə, zig-/ [Gk, zygon, yoke] , 1. a long slender zygomatic process of the temporal bone, arising from the lower part of the squamous part of the temporal bone, passing forward to join the zygomatic bone, and forming part of the zygomatic arch. 2. the zygomatic bone that forms the prominence of the cheek.
