uveal malignant melanoma /yo̅o̅′vē·əl mə·lig′nənt mel′-ə·nō′mə/ , the most common type of ocular melanoma, consisting of overgrowth of uveal melanocytes and often preceded by a uveal nevus. See also ocular melanoma.
