spondyloarthropathy /spon′dilō′ärthrop″əthē/ , any of a set of diseases of the joints and spine. Most commonly affected are the lower extremities, sacroiliac joint, and hip. Pain and restricted motion of the hips and lower back are typical complaints. Many patients also experience eye disorders.
