Accreditation Review Committee on Education in Surgical Technology (ARC-ST), a monitoring organization created in 1972 to establish, maintain, and promote standards of quality for the training, curriculum, and content of instruction in surgical technology and surgical assisting recognized through programmatic accreditation in cooperation with the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), the American College of Surgeons (ACS), and the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST).
