It is used in conjunction with dalfopristin in the treatment of serious bacteremia caused by vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium and complicated skin and skin structure infections caused by Streptococcus pyogenes or methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus. It is administered intravenously.
