polyuria

polyuria /pol′ēyo͝or″ē·ə/ [Gk, polys + ouron, urine] , the excretion of an abnormally large quantity of urine. Some causes of polyuria are diabetes insipidus, diabetes mellitus, use of diuretics, excessive fluid intake, and hypercalcemia.
