petit pas gait

petit pas gait /pet″ē pä, ptē″pä″/ , a manner of walking with short, mincing steps and shuffling with loss of associated movements. It is seen in cases of parkinsonism as well as in diffuse cerebral disease resulting from multiple small infarcts.
