periarteritis

periarteritis /per′i·är′tərī″tis/ [Gk, peri + arteria, airpipe, itis] , inflammation of the outer coat of one or more arteries and the tissue surrounding them. Also called periangitis. Kinds include periarteritis nodosa, syphilitic periarteritis.
