5′-nucleotidase /no̅o̅′klē·ot″idās/ , an enzyme, elevated in some liver disorders and cancer of the pancreas. It is infrequently measured in the blood to diagnose certain liver and bone diseases. This enzyme is widely distributed throughout the body but is found in high concentrations in the liver and pancreas. The normal accumulation in serum is 0.1 to 6 units.
